27 February: Annual General Meeting

On 27 February 2022. AME 43 will hold its Annual General Meeting by Zoom, at 14.00 EST, 20.00 France, 21.00 Israel time. (Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes)

The meeting is open only to members who have paid their membership subscription for 2022. If you wish to attend and have not paid for 2022, please make sure that you join at least an hour before the meeting.

The meeting will be followed by a networking and discussion meeting, with workgroups in English, French, Hebrew and Italian.

Proposed amendments to the statutes:

Make clear that people stop being members if they do not pay the subscription:
- In article 7, add “Failure to pay the subscription within the first 15 days of the following calendar year shall result in the loss of membership.” at the end of the paragraph “To be a member of the Association, you must pay a subscription (the amount of which is fixed each year by the Annual General Meeting and may be different for young people in order to encourage them to participate and for people residing abroad) or to be nominated by the Board.
Let the Board set the level of membership subscriptions, rather than the AGM, to give a clear framework for people to join or rejoin from the start of the year and before the AGM:
- In article 7, change the text from “To be a member of the Association, you must pay a subscription (the amount of which is fixed each year by the Annual General Meeting …” to “To be a member of the Association, you must pay a subscription (the amount of which is fixed each year in advance by the Board …”
Define the financial year:
- In article 12, add “The financial year is the calendar year, from 1 January to 31 December.” after “It approves the accounts for the financial year, deliberates on the issues on the agenda, elects the members of the Board of Directors and provides for the renewal of those members who have reached the end of their term of office or who have been appointed during the year, as provided for in Article 9 of these Articles of Association.”
